As a key player in the Singapore real estate industry, SingLand is invested in supporting the growth and development of the built environment sector. This includes encouraging diversity, equity and inclusion in its workforce and helping to grow its future leaders.
This year, SingLand donated $120,000 to the National University of Singapore College of Design and Engineering to support a range of initiatives by the College of Design and Engineering aimed at nurturing the next generation of women leaders in their respective fields of design, architecture or engineering.
This includes travel fellowships that will allow students or young alumni to either work on international projects that address the UN Sustainable Development Goals or go on overseas work attachments that provide exposure to women leaders in the industry. Other initiatives include awards to honour female students who have excelled in their studies and shown outstanding contributions to the university or community as well as networking events.
A ceremony was held where our Head of Legal and Company Secretary Teo Hwee Ping, who is a champion of the Group’s DEI efforts, received a token of appreciation from the Acting Dean of the College of Design and Engineering, Professor Teo Kie Leong.
It takes many parties to create a thriving built environment industry that is equitable and inclusive, and SingLand is glad for opportunities like this to collaborate with like-minded partners to further this cause.
